TO ULA | Antonio Calzado at Marbella Design 2024

Interior designer Antonio Calzado presents “Al Ula” in the seventh edition of Marbella Design, a space that will be open to the public until Sunday, November 10 at the Adolfo Suárez Congress and Exhibition Palace in Marbella. Marbella Design has established itself as one of the leading events in design and interior design in Spain, and this edition brings together some of the most prominent studios and brands in the sector, in an environment that celebrates creativity and innovation for ten days. .

MARBELLA DESIGN

A SPACE WITH ITS OWN ESSENCE IN MARBELLA DESIGN

Al Ula is a space inspired by the ruins located in the desert of Saudi Arabia. The space created by Antonio Calzado is conceived as a refuge, an open design adaptable to various scenarios. From a boutique café to a place attached to a home, office or hotel, a space where the sensory experience invites disconnection.

Inspired by the organic and fluid shapes of the Arabian desert, the design features multiple textures and curves that contrast with geometric lines, offering an environment that awakens the senses and promotes calm.

RESPECT FOR THE NATURAL

Antonio Calzado has developed this space from a sustainable vision, integrating recycled and natural materials in combination with pieces designed by the interior designer himself and created by hand by artisans, supporting the conservation of the sector's typical trades.

In the space, elements coexist such as natural stone from Margar Stone, recycled cork furniture from Blackcork, ecological coating from EcoClay and several other pieces that, together, create the perfect atmosphere for Al Ula to be a refuge of tranquility and disconnection.

This space consists of three different rooms: a bathroom inspired by haute couture, a main room designed to live a unique experience and a third space where you can contemplate a sculptural piece designed exclusively for Marbella Design.

COLLABORATIONS THAT MAKE ULA POSSIBLE

Al Ula would not be possible without the collaboration of several brands that have supported the proposal from the beginning, such as Jung, Margar Stone, Grupo Forma, Ecoclay, Empecor, Amadis, Unika Living, Arte, Ormo's, Marvent, Procolor, Blackcork, Belpla, Ceramoteca and Viveros González. These brands contribute with high quality materials and elements that enrich the design and enhance the identity of each corner.
