Before and After the Comprehensive Rehabilitation of this House in Seville

Today we share with you one of the most recent projects that we have had the pleasure of carrying out: Villa Lavender. This project, which began as a house in ruins, has become an oasis of calm and design in the heart of Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville). The comprehensive rehabilitation process of this house in Seville has been long, but the results exceeded all our expectations. Villa Lavanda is now a charming tourist apartment, located just a few minutes from the city center, and a space that invites its visitors to experience the true “slow life” style.

1. THE BEFORE

When we found the property, the house was abandoned and in a state of advanced deterioration. It was a two-story semi-detached house, with a large central patio, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small kitchen. Going up some external stairs, you accessed the second floor, which consisted of a terrace and a storage room.

Despite its condition, we saw the potential it offered. We knew that with a good project comprehensive rehabilitation and a suitable project interior design, we could give it a new life and turn it into a livable and welcoming space.

2. THE PROCESS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE REFORM

For any project of this magnitude, planning and careful execution are key. From the first moment, we set out to prioritize quality in all stages of the process: from the initial measurements and installations to the finishes and furniture selection. Each step was crucial to ensure that the final result was coherent and, above all, welcoming.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was the tubular distribution of the house. The rooms and common spaces were aligned in a way that did not take advantage of natural light or ventilation, which made the spaces dark and not very functional. Our main objective was redistribute these spaces, maximizing the entry of light and making them more habitable for future guests.

3. THE AFTER

Today, Villa Lavanda is a clear example of how an abandoned home can be transformed into a space full of life and design. In this case, the concept of “Slow Life” was the common thread that allowed us to create a space where simplicity, light and nature are the protagonists.

This project has reaffirmed in us the idea that design is not only about transforming spaces, but also about improving the lives of the people who will inhabit those spaces. Villa Lavanda is not only a house, it is an experience that invites you to live more slowly, to enjoy the small details and, above all, to feel the tranquility that only good design can offer.

4. THE STYLE OF THIS PROJECT

A fusion of two styles that were a total success: the Mediterranean style and the trend Wabi Sabi. Our idea was to create a space that reflected the serenity and simplicity of Mediterranean life, combined with the Wabi Sabi philosophy, which celebrates imperfection and the beauty of nature. This approach not only gave the home a unique aesthetic, but also allowed future guests to feel relaxed, connected to nature and in tune with the concept of “Slow Life”.

Los materials They were essential to achieve this fusion of styles. The use of microcement and natural stone provided a robust but cozy base, while the details in clay and pebbles added a rustic and organic touch. All this, combined with the natural light that we managed to make the most of, created a timeless and cozy atmosphere.

5. COLLABORATION WITH CERAMOTECA

In this transformation process, have the collaboration of CERAMOTECA It was a real luxury. Working with them allowed us to select the best materials for the project: from microcement, natural stone and pebbles to more unique pieces that added incalculable value to the final design. Each of these materials was chosen with the purpose of creating a natural, simple and warm atmosphere.
