Design Trends for this Summer

In our studio we are used to doing projects intended for vacation use given our location. For this reason, today we will talk about design trends for this summer, those decoration touches that we will see in magazines, hotels and trendy tourist apartments. We will cover everything from color palettes to textures and prints.

Colors Inspired by Nature

Summer means vacations, relaxation and disconnection. To disconnect, the ideal is to create a calm and relaxed environment connected to nature. Opt for earth tones, white, green or blue. You can incorporate them through natural elements such as vegetation, materials such as wicker, sisal or rattan. and even natural fabrics such as linen or cotton.

Maximum Benefit from Outdoor Spaces

Any corner, balcony or outdoor patio now becomes a zoneRelaxation through decoration. This is one of the most significant design trends for this summer. The lights, candles, cushions with summer textiles and lots of vegetation will turn these spaces into an area where you can live life. They become rooms added to homes.

If we talk about small spaces, we can condition them with reduced furniture, a little vegetation and some decorative elements. If we have larger spaces, we suggest making a small terrace with comfortable furniture where you can relax or even install a type of pool like the one shown in the following image. A pool that we have installed in Villa Lavanda, one of our most recent projects.

Tropical Prints

Tropical and botanical prints are a perfect option to add a little extra personality to spaces. We are talking about prints with vegetation, floral patterns, animals, natural motifs, etc. You can combine them in fabrics, wallpapers or decorative elements such as vases or paintings.

Take advantage of the trend of bolder prints to also add a touch of color. You can add yellow, coral, orange, red tones... Incorporate them in elements that you can easily change when you want to give another image to your home, such as cushions, tablecloths or small decorative elements. This will make your spaces timeless and adaptable to upcoming design trends for other seasons.
