El pasado mes de marzo tuvo lugar MIAD, Madrid Inside Art & Design en la Plaza de Toro de Las Ventas, Madrid. Este evento acudieron decenas de profesionales del sector, entre ellos, el equipo de Antonio Calzado Estudio. Nuestro estudio presentó Hammam MIAD y fue galardonado con el primer premio al espacio más votado por el público.
MIAD HAMMAM
Hammam is an Arab bath designed exclusively by our studio for the first edition of MIAD. It is a space inspired by the Andalusian and neo-Mudejar style, where multiple references to Seville take place.
In Hammam, craftsmanship, tradition and attention to detail are present. A space that is divided into two different environments; the Hammam area, intended for relaxation and personal beauty treatments; and a second room where the functional area with sinks and shower is located.
Geometric patterns, ceramics, Moroccan zellige, atomized and aged stone and Cordoban paving are some of the protagonists of this space. For this event the studio designed the furniture, the wrought iron pieces and the coffered ceiling to give more importance to the artisanal design.
PRIZE DELIVERY
The awards and recognition ceremony took place in the event restaurant. Among multiple awards such as the most sustainable material and technological innovation, there was the award for the space most voted for by the public.
During the days of the event, visitors passed through the spaces and at the end of their tour they voted for their favorite space and for the one that conveyed the most sensations.
HAMMAM MIAD, MOST VOTED SPACE
In this awards ceremony, the Antonio Calzado Estudio team was awarded by Hammam with the first prize for the space most voted for by the public. The space received a total of 471 votes, which makes up 17% of all votes received.
Always grateful to the public and all the visitors who saw something different and special in Hammam. An audience that values artisanal work, design with a story to tell and a team of professionals who create functional as well as aesthetic spaces.
